OTQ
OTQ was born from the design ambition of the young designer Matteo Congiu and from the experience gained in over three decades by the company “Sud Legno”, one of the most successful production companies in wood processing in Sardinia.
Raised within the family business, Matteo was very young at the beginning of his knowledge of the production phases of wood and, during his years of study at the IED in Milan, he put the relationship between the artisan technique at the center of his journey of knowledge and new technologies.
His training, combined with professional meetings and exchanges with very high innovative content, led to the birth – first on a theoretical level then on a business plan – of the OTQ project.
Presented at the Salone del Mobile in 2015, OTQ Design is a business idea focused on the subject of cork and its applications in the field of design. A project born in respect of the Sardinian identity and the culture of innovation.
